This is the one feature I know since the release but never bothered to try. Recently I had to provide the steps for a client on how to setup. After trying multiple methods without any success, I figured out the steps.

Yes, every post you come across suggest the same thing, hold your power button and home button for X seconds. Though it is true, unfortunately I had a couple of situations my iphone doesn’t respond to the key combinations. And some time it is very frustrating to hold your buttons so long.

Until recently I was not aware of the shortcut _Ctrl + Cmd + C _

I created this custom UISplitViewController as one of my iPad project required Split view for only one screen. The default UISplitViewController provided by Apple can only be added to UIWindow which means you can’t use it with normal UINavigation based project with only one splitview screen.

iTunes 10

Another iTunes upgrade, I don’t want to see another 100Mb iTunes upgrade till next month. Many people were fighting over the icon, Guys! they have changed the boring icon after a decade.

Ever since I installed the iOS 3.2 SDK I was in love with the iPad/Safari background fabric texture.

• iPad didn’t replace common tasks. Steve was referring his notepad on stage:). Old habits die hard.
• Steve can still memorize 24 countries and repeat them in the same order. Bravo! Good job Steve.
• Yes, he appreciated Microsoft for their HTML5 demos.
• Now the revenue will be shared  60-40%. 40% of iAd revenue to Apple.
• Will FaceTime work if there are quite a few devices on the Wi-Fi network?
• If FaceTime is Open, then H.264 and AAC too?
• If the same front side glass was used in the back of iPhone 4, can we replace the backside glass for the front in case of damages to the front?
• 29$ for bumb ( a band covers the antennas’). Come on Steve, let the poor guys live with the iPhone/iPad cover business.
• FaceTime is open since it use many OpenSource tools & standards.

are few points I noticed during Keynote.

I was always disappointed with Apple Keynote pages. It allows you to stream and watch the videos with QuickTime which is not great for streaming and videos are not HTML5 yet. Another restriction with QuickTime is, you need to have QuickTime Pro to save the video.

Warning: My observations are biased as I’m not an Apple Fanboy, at least right now (was one in the past, I both respect and hate Apple & Microsoft)

iPad can run most of the iPhone (iPod touch) applications. After installing the iPhone SDK 3.2 open your iPhone simulator and select below from the menu

I managed to install iPhone SDK 3.2 beta today. I installed it on my Snow Leopard 1.6 (Note: the minimum requirement of iPhone SDK 3.2 is 10.6.2). But the installer didn’t ask me to update OS before installing.

I’m little surprised to know that the new iPhone SDK 3.2 beta requires 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard). And, no SDK for 1.5 (Leopard).
